T2116

T2116 FATAL ERROR: T2116 UNABLE TO GENERATE CYCLIC SYMMETRIC BOUNDARY CONDITIONS
Cause:

A cyclic symmetric boundary condition generation command failed using the parameters listed on a CYSYMGENERATE Case Control command or the CYSYMGEN and CYSYMTOL model parameters. The status codes have the following meaning:

Code

Meaning

1

Symmetry boundary non-planar or misaligned.

2

Specified coordinate system does not exist or is not cylindrical.

3

No grid points found with specified coordinate system.

4

No grid points found on one or both symmetry boundaries.

5

Unable to generate multipoint constraint equations.

Action: Perform the following depending on the status code given:

Code

Meaning

1

Correct the model cyclic symmetry boundaries so that the grid theta coordinate values are the same for each plane.

2

Make sure a valid cylindrical coordinate system is defined and referenced on either the CYSYMGENERATE Case Control command or the CYSYMGEN and CYSYMTOL model parameters.

3

Correct the model so that the cyclic symmetry boundary grid points reference the cyclic symmetric cylindrical coordinate system in the grid displacement system field of the GRID Bulk Data entry.

4

See action for codes 1-3.

5

See action for codes 1-3.

Remarks: See Autodesk Nastran Reference Guide, Section 3, Case Control, for command format, Section 4, Bulk Data, for entry format, and Section 5, Parameters, for more information.
