Problems Reported Through the Customer Error Reporting Utility

Based on detailed information from customers using the Customer Error Reporting Utility, we identified and fixed several defects, including the following:

Hatch
Occasional crashes when creating a hatch in specific drawings containing empty boundaries or island loops.
General
Occasional crashes when using the ATTEXT command to perform a complete data extraction.
Occasional crashes when opening a DWT file and opening the Manage Page Setups dialog box in an opened DST project that uses the DWT file as the page setup overrides file.
Occasional crashes when switching between open drawings from the Windows taskbar.
Occasional crashes when zooming in or out on an area of a drawing that referenced a specific point cloud file.
Occasional crashes when importing multi-user empty markup in AutoCAD.
Occasional crashes when right-clicking any items on the menu of the Start tab.

General Update Content

The following defects have been fixed:

Connected Support Files
The Set up button no longer shows in the File tab of the Options dialog box when the configuration of a project on Autodesk Docs server has been completed.
Geolocation
The GEOMAP button now displays on the Geolocation tab of the ribbon as expected.
The From Bing maps option is now available in the Set Location drop-down list in the localization builds as expected.
DXF files saved in AutoCAD 2026 from DWG files containing geolocation information now keep the information as well.
Graphics
AutoCAD runs well when switching the visual style to Shaded (Fast) in drawings containing point cloud data.
When the VP linetype property of a layer is changed in a DWG file, the linetype of objects displays correctly in the paper space.
Zoom area displays properly when clicking one button on ViewCube in specific drawings.
ViewCube displays in the paper space when loading the external reference file and switching to a layout.
The selection color effect matches to the setting of the Options dialog box when switching the visual style to Shaded (Fast).
Gradient hatches with curve boundaries display well when the LINESMOOTHING system variable is set to off.
Performance
Improved display performance of the text editor when double-clicking the MText in the attached drawing.
Improved performance when referencing raster image files from a network folder.
Improved performance when using EXPORTPDF or Plot to PDF.
Plot
The custom named paper size is now retained when printing to Windows system printer or some specific printers in AutoCAD.
Plot style files are now included when zipping the eTransmit package from an open sheet of a DST project.
Viewports with "legacy hidden" visual style are now plotted to PDF files successfully.
PDF files generated from specific drawings in AutoCAD 2025 and later releases can now be combined with other files in Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Pro.
The default plotted file name always follow the legacy behavior: File Name+Layout Name.pdf, regardless of the printer driver used (third-party PDF printer or DWG to PDF).
Plotted results for text or MText objects containing double-byte characters now match their display.
The correct field values now display in PDF files exported with background publishing.
Table
The values displayed when selecting the Link to a named range option are now correct in a table created using the Excel data link.
The outer border of the table displays correctly, consistent with previous versions of AutoCAD.
General
AutoCAD quits without error when opening a drawing using the Find dialog box launched from the Select File dialog box.
The authentication dialog box of OneDrive now opens correctly when displaying the DWG History in Activity Insights palette.
The correct results are now generated for any objects with non-zero Z values when using the FLATTEN command to enable the "Remove hidden lines" option.
A drawing exports to an IGES file successfully on Autodesk Advance Steel.
The world file can now be read when inserting a GEO image located on a network server using the IINSERT command on AutoCAD Map 3D and AutoCAD Raster Design.
The correct highlighting effect is now displayed when selecting a 3D object created by the PRESSPULL command.
The name, definition, and other properties of the original blocks are preserved when running the EXPORTLAYOUT command for some legacy drawings.
The correct field values are now maintained when changing the world coordinate system to a custom coordinate system.
Selected objects zoomed to the extents of a drawing remain visible even after running the BCONVERT command in a rotated view.
The Vault ribbon tab on AutoCAD now displays correctly when the registry entries point to a UNC path.
