About Project Synchronization, Auditing, and Compression

Synchronize Drawings

Some drawing properties, such as annotations, are saved in the project and becomes available to other drawings when they are synchronized. You can synchronize drawings automatically when they are opened or by refreshing in Project Manager.

Automatic synchronization is set with synchstylesmode.

Audit Projects

Auditing a project allows project managers or administrators to evaluate and correct errors to ensure the project's integrity. The audit process searches for errors, such as links between non-existent properties, discrepancies in the tag registry, or orphaned records that no longer point to an object in a source drawing.

When you start the audit process in an open project, it identifies and corrects these errors.
After completion, a log file is added to the project directory containing the data cache. This log file provides a comprehensive report of detected errors and the actions taken to resolve them.
For collaboration projects, you can also choose to perform the audit database process simultaneously. Additionally, you have the option to automatically check in all affected drawings, eliminating the need for manual check-in at the end of the audit.

Compress Projects

Periodically compress a project to optimize performance and efficiency. Compressing a project defragments the drawing data cache, repairs any inconsistencies, and prevents corruption of the cache.
