You can add or remove custom properties for a selected part in a spec.
Add a Custom Part Family Property
- In the spec sheet, select a part class (for example, Elbow).
- Click Property Editor.
- In the Spec Property Editor dialog box, click Manage Properties tab.
- Specify the following:
- Display name
- Default value
- Field name
- Field type
- Under Applies to, select Part Family.
- Under Add Property to, choose one of the following:
- Current Part Class. Adds the property to a selected class.
- All Part Classes. Adds the property to all classes.
- Click Add.
A new custom part family property is created.
Add a Custom Part Sizes Property
- In the spec sheet, select a part class (for example, Elbow).
- Click Property Editor.
- In the Spec Property Editor dialog box, click Manage Properties tab.
- Specify the following:
- Display name
- Default value
- Field name
- Field type
- Under Applies to, select Part Sizes.
- Under Add Property to, choose one of the following:
- Current Part Class. Adds the property to a selected class.
- All Part Classes. Adds the property to all classes.
- Click Add.
A new custom part family property is created.
Remove a Custom Property in a Spec
- In the spec sheet, select a part class (for example, Elbow).
- Click Property Editor.
- In the Spec Property Editor dialog box, click Manage Properties tab.
- Under Added Properties, select a custom property.
- Click Remove.
- Click OK.
The selected property is removed from the spec.
