Preconstruction Home

Preconstruction Home offers a convenient, high-level overview of what’s happening right now in your project. Use this tool to orient yourself to the latest activity from everyone working on the Preconstruction project.

On the Home page, you’ll find:

  • Getting Started card – For new users, this card provides key steps to get up and running on a new project.

    Click into the tasks on the Getting Started card to be guided to important steps in setting up a new Preconstruction project.

    1. Define a measurement systems, classifications, and other settings for your project in Takeoff Project Settings.
    2. Upload 2D and 3D files in Sheets & Models to use for takeoff.
    3. Create takeoff packages to organize your scopes of work.
    4. Set up library line items and costs, and library classifications for your account to use across your ACC projects. - Account and standards administrators
    5. Set up project locations (optional) - Project administrators

    You can return to the Getting Started card as often as you need until it is closed or dismissed.

  • My Recent Sheets & Models with Takeoff - Get back to your most recent takeoff work. This card shows the sheets or models you’ve recently performed takeoff on.

  • Recent Takeoff Packages – Discover work-in-progress on different takeoff packages in the project. This card serves as an entry point to other takeoff packages that others on your team may be working on.

  • Embodied Carbon by Takeoff Package – This card reports embodied carbon data for takeoff packages in your project.

  • Cost by Takeoff Packages – For projects that track costs, this card shows costs by takeoff package.
