Find Your Way Around
Within Process Analysis, there are several options to help you view and move about within your process model.
Opening Process Analysis
To access Process Analysis, select the Autodesk Process Analysis icon on your desktop to begin.
For more information on how to access Process Analysis, refer to Creating a Process Model in the Factory Design Utilities online Help system.
Viewing specific areas of your model
Large or complicated process models can be difficult to move around in, particularly if you want to zero in on a specific area of a design. The Design Navigator lets you easily change the view to an area of your design that you specify. In this example, the area highlighted in the navigator in the bottom right corner is the area of focus on the canvas.
To access the navigator, select the globe icon in the bottom ribbon. Using your mouse, move the highlighted box within the navigation area to highlight the area to view. The view on the canvas changes as you move the highlighted box.
Panning
To explore your design, select the Pan tool from the control panel at the bottom of your screen, or use the middle mouse button to pan.
Zooming
Zoom controls are located in the control panel at the bottom of the screen. Optionally, you can double click your middle mouse button to zoom to fit.
Docking property palettes
Asset Browser and Process Properties palettes are adjusted using standard resizing methods. The palettes can be docked in different positions or left floating if pulled away from the application frame.
To dock a palette, click and drag the palette until the following icons appear on the canvas:
Drag the palette over the desired location icon to highlight it and release the mouse to dock the palette to that area of the screen.
