Place Assets and Objects
Place Factory assets or assign assets to placeholder objects.
Process Analysis uses a combination of connected objects or assets to simulate a factory workflow. An object can be a Source, Processor, Buffer, Operator, or End Product.
To place an asset or object
Place assets or objects from the Asset Browser library directly onto your process model.
- Select the Asset Browser checkbox from the User Interface drop-down menu in the ribbon to access your Factory Assets.
- Locate and select the asset or object you would like to be placed into your model.
- Drag an asset or placeholder object from the Asset Browser directly onto your process model.
- Press Esc to release the asset or object from your cursor.
- Optionally, you can select a placeholder object from the top of the Asset Browser, place it in your process model, and replace the placeholder object with an asset later.
Note: If your asset has been published with process properties, those same published properties are used in the asset when the asset is placed in the process model. Processor properties are the default properties used if no properties were previously assigned to the asset.
For more information on how to set or edit your asset properties, refer to Setting Properties.
