| PowerMill 2027 has a new option in Steep and Shallow Finishing and Constant Z Finishing that calculates stepdowns more efficiently by taking local geometry into account. While localized cusp-based stepdowns are optimised for vertical surfaces, the stepdowns on near-vertical surfaces are currently not as optimised as they should be. This is being investigated.
