Opening the Snow/Wind Load dialog and clicking the Wind tab displays the following dialog.

The dialog is divided into several fields with groups of specific options:
-
Region
This field contain a list of available wind regions. A wind region is one of the factors that determine basic wind pressure over consecutive structure elements.
-
Structure
The Structure field lets you select a temporary or permanent structure.
-
Wind pressure
The Wind pressure field has the following options:
- Automatic - Automatically defines basic wind pressure according to structure site parameters.
- Manual - Lets you manually define basic wind pressure. Such parameters as Department, Region, or Type are not considered in the manual definition.
- The value field - Specifies the wind pressure.
-
Site
In the Site field, you can specify the site for the structure:
- Automatic - Select from the list of the available structure sites
- Manual - Define the value of the Ct(z) coefficient.
-
Terrain type
The Terrain type field specifies the type of terrain where the structure is located. After you select the terrain type, the values for the parameters: Kt, z0, Zmin, and e are changed automatically. Values of the parameters listed can also be defined manually.
-
Cd
At the bottom of the dialog, you can specify a value for the Cd coefficient:
- Automatic - Select from the list of the available structure sites
- Manual - Define the value of the Cd coefficient.
Clicking Coefficient opens the dialog that lets you define the coefficients for a wind load.
