A nodal force causes a displacement of the node to which it is applied. The amount of displacement will depend on the geometry and material properties of the structure.
When defining an axisymmetric structure, 2 other forces are considered:
- Force intensity per circumference length unit:
Determines the value of a uniform load p acting along the circumference of an axisymmetric structure. The position of the force is defined by the R radius.
- Force sum for the circumference: Determines the value of the total force acting on the circumference: P = p*2pR. The position of the force is defined by the R radius.Note: The value of the uniform load p acting along the circumference of an axisymmetric structure changes depending on the value of the radius.
