Camber settings
- Design beams with camber.
Select this option to use camber in beam design. If you deselect this option, the camber-related settings on the tab are inactive.
- Minimum Span To Camber
Specifies the minimum beam length to which camber is applied.
- Minimum Camber
Minimum allowable camber. If optimum camber is lower than the minimum, no camber is used.
- Maximum Camber
Maximum allowable camber. If more than the maximum camber is required a larger beam is used.
- Camber step
The minimum allowable increment by which to optimize camber.
- Camber Percent of Dead Load
The percent of the dead load applied to the beam that is compensated for with camber. The default value is 80 percent.
- Deflection Limits:
- Absolute and relative construction.
- Absolute and relative live.
- Absolute and relative combined.
