Worksharing and MEP Elements (What's New in 2021)

Worksharing with MEP Elements has been improved to provide a more consistent experience and enable better collaboration among stakeholders.

There are two major changes to the behavior when making modifications to the model.

These changes apply to Revit generic MEP elements and to MEP fabrication parts:

  • When moving a run of duct, pipe, conduit, or cable tray, only the directly modified elements are checked out. You may use the worksharing display to view the checkout status of the elements.
  • Ducts and pipes are not automatically reconnected when an inline element (such as a valve or a damper) is deleted.

This feature is described on the product road map.

See Using Worksharing with MEP Elements.
