Working in the macro manager you encounter the message The Operation Could Not Be Completed
Symptom: Dialog appears with message The Operation Could Not Be Completed while working in the macro manager.
Issue: There are a number of causes for this message to appear but there is not one specific reason that can be identified.
Solution: Try these general troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue..
- Save a copy of the macros you are using.
- Remove the folder %ProgramData%\Autodesk\Revit\Macros\2025\Revit\AppHookup, and try the operation again.
- If step 2 does not resolve the issue, try reinstalling DOTNET SDK 8.0 and VSCode.
- If step 3 does not resolve the issue, try reinstalling Revit.
