Model parametric structural steel connections with a higher detail level.
Steel connections are Structural Connection families and you can place and modify them the same way you do structural connections.
- Loading Standard Steel Connections.
- Creating Custom Connections.
- Using Parametric Cuts.
- Copying and pasting one or more selected types form another project.
- Transferring all family types of a selected system family from another project.
Structural steel connections join steel fabrication elements or steel fabrication elements and concrete elements (in the case of some standard steel connections). You can create them in 3D or plan views and they are only visible when the Detail Level of the view is set to Fine.
- the input elements are not supported structural steel shapes or families for steel fabrication.
- the geometric position of the input elements is improper. Tip: Verify the connection type tooltip for information.
- the order of the input elements is improper. Tip: Verify the connection type tooltip for information.
- the default connection parameter configuration is improper. Tip: Modify the connection parameters.
There are situations when the connection configuration leads to a strange geometry. Make sure you properly adjust the connection parameters, the order and position of input element or change the connection type to a more suitable one.
You can define rules for structural steel connections. These rules are called ranges of applicability and you can use them when you place [multiple] connections automatically. See Associate Connections with Profile Sizes de la Dynamo.
