Select the appropriate unit.

For imperial projects, the default unit is inches. For metric projects, the default unit is millimeter. This sets the default unit for the exported DWG/DXF file.

Coordinate system basis

Select one of the following options to indicate whether the exported file will use the internal coordinates of the Revit project, or coordinates that are shared with other linked models.

  • Project internal. Sets the origin of the exported file to the internal coordinates of the Revit project. Use this option when the Revit project is a stand-alone project that is not linked to other models, or when its particular position is irrelevant for the intended use of the exported file.
  • Shared. Sets the origin (0,0,0) of the exported file to the shared position of the Revit project. All geometry is exported relative to the shared coordinates. Use this option when you want to maintain the specific position of the project being exported.
Note: When exporting to DWG, you must specify views (not sheets) in order for shared coordinates to work correctly.
