Assets
Within Autodesk Tandem, the asset information model is defined using a facility template. This can be applied within the facility through the assets panel as pictured below. If the facility template is updated, you can incorporate the latest version into the facility by clicking update in the notification banner when the Assets panel is open
Click apply once the desired template has been selected. Once applied, users can map parameters and classifications from your source models to parameters managed in Tandem
Classification Mapping
Staying on the assets tab users can see a list of all applied parameters and their mappings. After applying the facilities template, navigate down to where it says Classification (Not mapped). Click the drop-down to open the list of available Revit properties. This is a search bar as well to make finding the Revit properties, such as Assembly Code, easier. Once the Revit property that contains the Classification system is selected, all assets are automatically classified, saving time.
Parameter Mapping
Below that, is a list of the parameters grouped by parameter category. Click the dropdown to start the parameter mapping process. Just like with mapping classifications, there is a search bar that can be utilized to make finding the corresponding Revit Property easier. Once a Revit property is selected, the parameter in Tandem will be populated with the information in the selected Revit Property.
