Set the DWFx File Resolution

To specify the DWFx file resolution

  1. Click Home tab Output panel Plot.
  2. In the Printer/Plotter area, in the Name list, select a DWFx plotter configuration file. Click Properties.
  3. In the Plotter Configuration Editor, click the Device and Document Settings tab.
  4. Click to select Custom Properties from the tree window.
  5. In the Access Custom Dialog group, click the Custom Properties button.
    Note: You can enter any whole number between 150 and 100,000,000 for color and grayscale resolution settings as long as the number does not exceed the current vector resolution setting.

    The DWFx ePlot Properties dialog box appears.

  6. In the Vector and Gradient Resolution (Dots Per Inch) group, do one of the following:
    • Select Vector and Gradient Resolution settings from the list.
    • Select Custom from the list, and enter custom values.
  7. Click OK.
  8. In the Raster Image Resolution (Dots Per Inch) area, do one of the following:
    • Select Color and Grayscale Resolution settings.
    • Select Black and White Resolution settings from the list.
    • Select Custom from the list, and enter custom values.
  9. Click OK.
  10. In the Plotter Configuration Editor, click OK.
  11. In the Changes to a Printer Configuration dialog box, do either of the following.
    • Select Apply Changes for the Current Plot Only — to specify a one-time override of the configuration settings that isn't saved to the DWF configuration file.
    • Select Save Changes to the Following File — to save the configuration changes to the DWF configuration file.
  12. Click OK.
  13. In the Browse for Plot File dialog box, navigate to the folder location you want to save. Click Save.
