TruLaser lets you import existing laser projection files of various formats including:
- Virtek Geometry (.ply)
- Virtek Targets (.cal)
- LPT Geometry and Targets (.XML)
- Assembly Guidance (.PRT)
- LAP Laser (.LPD)
- SL Laser Geometry (.sl)
- SL Laser Targets (.cp?)
- APT files (.txt)
- General Scanning (.PRT)
There are two ways to open your existing laser projection files:
- Open Laser Data opens the data in a new file. This option appears on the TruLaser tab before you open a file and in the
Laser Data drop-down menu once a file is open.
If you select this option, locate the file to open and select the units of measure.
- Insert Laser Data adds the laser data to an open file.
Data is inserted using the origin of the existing model, unless you opt to insert at the UCS origin or select an insertion point.
