You can set the Vault location of the Inventor Project file in the Vault, as well as the Configuration, Log, and Output files on the Settings dialog. You can also specify whether the repair feature processes historical versions of files or the latest versions of files.
Modify the following fields, if needed. When you are finished, move on to Part 3.
Customize the Reference Repair Settings

Details |
---|---|
Inventor Project file |
Location of the Inventor project file in the Vault. This location must be manually entered. Note: Inventor project file must be specified for processing Inventor files.
|
Configuration File |
Location of the configuration file (RepairReferences_UserPreferences.config). Change the file location by manually entering a new one or clicking the ellipses (...) button and browsing to a new location. The configuration file tracks the folders that have been scanned successfully, the location where the files from Vault are downloaded for processing, the properties that a user can specify for display in the Reference Table (output file), and the properties that are displayed by default. To specify additional properties, go to the UDPs section of the config file and add the property you like as shown below:
<UDPs> <string> Part Number </string> </UDPs>

Log File |
Location of the log file used to record the server name, database name, and all utility activity during the repair process. Change the file location by manually entering a new one or clicking the ellipses (...) button and browsing to a new location. Note: Every scan has its own log file.
The log file name is the Server Name, Database Name, and Timestamp indicating when the log was created. |
Output File |
Location of the Reference Table file (output file) that the Reference Repair Utility creates when a folder is scanned. Change the file location by manually entering a new one or clicking the ellipses (...) button and browsing to a new location. Note: Every successful scan has its own output file.
The name of the output file will show as: <Name of Server>_<Name of Database>_<Timestamp>.xml Important: Once the file is opened in Excel, it will no longer have its original name. When you save the file, you must rename it. Autodesk recommends that you follow the above naming scheme to help you identify the vault and server for the Reference Table contents.
