Part 1: Enter Login Credentials and Folder Path

Part 1 of 5

The first part of the repair reference workflow is to launch the Reference Repair Utility and configure your login credentials. You must also identify a Vault and specify the path to the folder that you want to scan for dangling relationships. When you are finished with these actions, continue on to Part 2 of the workflow.

Specify Login Information and Folder Path for Scanning

  1. Launch the Reference Repair Utility on the client workstation.

  2. Enter your User name, Password, Server name and the vault that you want to scan.
  3. Enter the path to the folder in Vault that you want to scan for dangling relationships.
Note: The path in the above image is a Vault path (e.g., $/Designs/Assemblies).

Files under the selected folder as well as those under the sub-folders (if any) are processed.

  4. Click the Settings icon to open the Reference Repair Utility Settings dialog.
  5. Proceed to Part 2.

If you are repairing files in a replicated environment, it is best to heal on one site to avoid duplicate efforts. The Reference Repair Utility processes only files that are on that site. Files that are not yet replicated are not processed.
