Cable Tray Connector reference

Defines, places, and orients a cable tray connector.

This command defines, places, and orients a cable tray connector on an Autodesk Inventor part or assembly for use with AutoCAD MEP or Revit MEP. BIM Exchange calculates the position of a connector based on its defining geometry.

Access

Shape
Determines the shape for the cable connector. If Undefined is selected, any oval, circular, or rectangular face is a valid selection.
Defining Geometry
Selects the position and orientation of the connector.

Use the Select command to pick the face on the Autodesk Inventor component where you intend to place and position the cable tray connector. The location of the cable connector appears as a cylindrical arrow on the selected part or assembly.

Use the Direction command to pick the direction that is normal for the cable connector when it is placed.

Size
To specify a connector Height and Width, clear the check mark on the Inferred checkboxes. In the Height and Width boxes, enter numeric data.

If the Inferred boxes are checked, the Height and Width boxes are linked to the size of the selected face.

Properties
Select a Connection Type from the drop-down list.
