Cartridge heater enhancements for 3D elements
To enable the simulation of 3D finite element transient mold cooling using thermoset materials, the Heater (3D) element property specification has been expanded to include additional control features: Time, Time with Target Temperature, and Thermocouple. The Heater (3D) element can now be used both to simulate the use of cartridge heaters and in its original role, to heat hot runners.
3D Gas-assisted Injection Molding analysis supports multiple gas cylinders
The 3D solver has been enhanced to support multiple gas cylinders for analyses of the Gas-assisted Injection Molding process, including both Fill and Fill+Pack analysis sequences. Gas profiles can be specified by pressure or volume.
New results produced by the 3D flow solver
The 3D flow solver has been enhanced to produce result data sets that previously were produced only by the Midplane and Dual Domain flow solvers.
