The Advanced Data Manipulation toolset for Particle Flow lets you create your own custom Particle Flow tools. You can build standard operators and tests as well as those that use icons.
You can save your results as presets that then choose from a list, or as standard actions that show up in the Particle View depot. The built-in visual editor, as easy to use as Particle View but more versatile, lets you combine 27 different suboperators (elements) to customize a data flow to suit your needs perfectly.
Advanced Data Manipulation features include:
- A variety of powerful, flexible suboperators including those dedicated to input, output, processing, interfacing with the particle system and other objects in the 3ds Max scene, animation, and more.
- The Data View editor lets you drag and drop suboperators, connect them visually and logically, set and animate parameter values, and more. It even does automatic data-type conversion.
- In every custom operator you can determine exactly which parameters to make available at the Particle View level and how to format the Parameters rollout, using the Expose Parameters tools. You can also store your results as presets and/or depot operators for easy access by yourself and others
- The ability to make history-independent operators that are faster than history-dependent operators.
- Shape Control assigns shapes to particles, with direct control of the shape parameters for each particle, including shape's modifier settings.
- Seven great new presets, including versions of several popular Blur plug-ins, come ready to use in Particle Flow right out of the box, learn from, and customize.
