The Key Columns Options dialog box is used to select key columns for a family.
Note: Key columns specify parameters of the family member when it is inserted in an assembly or part file.
- Access
- In the Family Table dialog box, click Key Columns.
Note: To open the Family Table dialog box. Click
Manage tab Content Center panel Editor . Then navigate to the edited family, right-click the family and select Family Table.
- Table Columns
- Displays all columns available in the family table.
- Key Columns
- Displays key columns for the family.
- Right and left arrows
- Select a table column and click the right arrow to add it to the Key Columns list. Select a key column and click the left arrow to remove it from the Key Columns list.
- Up and down arrows
- Select a key column and click the up arrow to move up the column in the Key Columns list. Select a key column and click the down arrow to move the column down in the Key Columns list.
Note: The maximum number of key columns is 8.
