This tutorial addresses the steps, following meshing, that are required before a model can be analyzed.
Tutorial duration: Approximately 65 minutes.
Up to this point, we have concentrated on ensuring that the model imported into Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Insight is meshed correctly and is free of errors. It is a critical step, as the quality of the analysis depends upon a quality mesh. There are several other steps required before a model can be analyzed and these will be covered in this tutorial.
In this tutorial, you will:
- Specify the molding process being used for the manufacture of the part.
- Specify the material being used to mold the part.
- Manually duplicate a model.
- Set the injection location.
- Automatically duplicate the model to produce a four-cavity mold.
- Design a basic runner system.
- Design a simple cooling circuit.
- Review results of a basic Fill analysis.
