To Run Voltage Drop

AutoCAD Utility Design provides two voltage drop analysis operations. Radial Voltage Drop operates on single supply, strictly balanced radial systems. Meshed Voltage Drop operates on multiple supply, unbalanced, meshed networks. The Voltage Drop operation sets the sizing of the transformer, secondary lines, and service lines. The operation includes flicker, ampacities, and transformer sizing.

Note: Before performing the Voltage Drop analysis, you must specify the Group or Model Name attribute for the transformer. You can use Quick Info or the Feature Info palette to set these attributes. For more information, see About Feature Information.
  1. Click Home tabAnalysis panelRun Voltage Drop .

To run voltage drop on all features in the design, click Run Voltage Drop For All.

  2. Click the transformer of interest and then press ENTER to perform the analysis.

A trace is performed to locate related features.

  3. View the results in the Analysis palette.
  4. Based on the type of network being analyzed, expand the details for Radial Voltage Drop or Meshed Voltage Drop.
