Manage Mappings in Project Sync

The Project Sync feature allows one mapping from a Buzzsaw folder to a Vault folder.You can configure mapping settings on the Project Sync Settings dialog.

There may not be more than one mapping configured. These settings are per Vault. If you have more than one Vault, then each Vault can have its own mapping.

Add a Mapping

1. In Vault Client, select Tools > Project Sync Settings to open the Project Sync Settings dialog.
2. Click Add Mapping.
3. Select the Buzzsaw site containing the Buzzsaw folder that you want mapped.
   Note: If the site that you want is not listed, click the plus sign to add a new site.
4. Once the desired site is selected, click the ellipses button next to the Buzzsaw Folder and browse to the folder that you want to map on the Buzzsaw site.
   Important: The folder must not already be mapped to another folder in a vault, nor can it contain folders that are already mapped. This is verified when click OK on the Add Mapping dialog.

   Click OK to return to the Add Mapping dialog.

5. Click the ellipses button next to the Vault folder and browse to the Vault folder to which you want the Buzzsaw folder mapped.
   Important: The folder must not already be mapped to another folder in Buzzsaw, nor can it contain folders that are already mapped. This is verified when click OK on the Add Mapping dialog.

   Click OK to return to the Add Mapping dialog.

6. Click OK to verify the mapping.

   If all settings are valid, the mapping is saved.

   When the mapping is completed, the Vault and Buzzsaw folders are mapped to each other. The folder structure within these folders are replicated in the application as needed.

Edit a Mapping

1. In Vault Client, select Tools > Project Sync Settings to open the Project Sync Settings dialog.
2. Click the Edit icon next to the row containing the folders for which you want to modify mappings.
3. Click the ellipses button next to the Vault folder and browse to the Vault folder to which you want the Buzzsaw folder mapped.
   Important: The folder must not already be mapped to another folder in Buzzsaw, nor can it contain folders that are already mapped. This is verified when click OK on the Add Mapping dialog.

   Click OK to return to the Add Mapping dialog.

4. Click OK to verify the mapping.

   If all settings are valid, the mapping is saved.

Delete a Mapping

1. In Vault Client, select Tools > Project Sync Settings to open the Project Sync Settings dialog.
2. Click the Delete icon next to the row containing the folders for which you want to modify mappings.
3. Confirm that you want to delete the mapping.
