Ladders - Connections

The table displayed on the Connections tab includes points to which the ladder is fixed (if a new ladder is generated, this table is blank).

Individual columns of the connection table show the following information:

The following operations can be performed on a set of the ladder fixings:

o By indicating existing structure elements (horizontal beams) to which a ladder will be fixed (after clicking To selected element >). The software will generate all the connection elements together with bolts.

o By defining the levels of fixings - enter the level in relation to the lower floor level into the Level field and click On Level). The software will generate the connection elements welded to the ladder and optionally, bolts.

The list of connections is automatically sorted by levels.

After you select Ladder base on the lower level, the ladder will be connected to the lower floor level, which involves adding an additional fixing to the lower level to the list of connections. If this is not selected, a connection of the ladder to the lower floor level is not generated.

Under Bolts, specify the bolt diameter and grade. Click Settings to open the Bolt settings dialog.

The properties of a connection are available after you select the connection on the list and click Properties. Parameters of the selected connection can be modified in the Connection properties dialog.

At the bottom of the dialog is the Use template selection field, which contains user-defined templates (schemes) of ladders. After you define ladder geometry, you can save the settings by typing a name in the Use template field and clicking Save as template. In the future, after you begin to define a ladder, you can select the name of a saved template so that all its parameters will be applied to the new ladder.

Use the buttons at the bottom of the dialog:
