Use the options on the Vertical bars tab to select a profile of which the vertical ladder elements will be made, a family to which these elements will belong, and a material.
The current version of the software offers 3 types of extended vertical elements of a ladder:
- Direct
- Extend
- Extend/Direct
The following parameters are defined for a selected type (see the drawing below):
- A - vertical length of the oblique segment (for type 3 only)
- B - extended spacing of elements (for types 2 and 3)
- C - spacing of elements
- H - height of elements' extension above the upper floor level (depending on the height of railing on the upper level)
- R - radius of elements' bending (the option is not available when the extension is obtained by welding) (for types 2 and 3)
For Extended bars, select the method of forming the extension of vertical elements (Welding or Bending).
Use the options in the lower part of the dialog to assign attributes to bars of the generated ladder: profiles of vertical bars, types of vertical bar families, and materials.
Profiles available on the selection list are those defined in the Profile List dialog. To add a profile to the list, click 
. The Profile list dialog displays, where you can select a profile.
Profile families available on the selection list are those defined in the Family Manager dialog. To add a family to the list, click 
. The Family manager dialog displays, where you can select a family.
After you finish defining parameters of the ladder vertical bars, click the Rungs tab to display the Ladders - Rungs dialog.
