Review cooling circuit results

In this task, you interpret different cooling circuit results.

  1. Click the Temperature, circuit coolant (averaged) result in the study tasks list.

The increase in temperature is best when less than 2C - 3C. The core circuit temperature is at the top end of this guideline.

  2. Click the Circuit flow rate result.

The flow rate is just over 3 l/min. This is the flow rate required in this circuit to achieve the specified Reynolds number of 10,000. The flow rate is not high, so the mold is not likely to be flow rate limited.

  3. Click the Temperature, mold-circuit interface (averaged) result.

This result is best when less than 5C above the coolant inlet. There are places in the core that are above this limit.
