Sets up master settings for the current drafting standard. The elements of the standard that have their settings configured as ByNameOfCurrentDraftingStandard, automatically acquire their settings from this dialog box.
Dimension link |
Link to dimension style Links the text and leader settings to a dimension style, so that dimension styles are controlled by the drafting standard. Any change you make on this dialog box is applied to the linked dimension style. Any change you make to the linked dimension style is applied back to the text and leader settings. When this option is selected, you can specify non-standard text heights. |
Link to leader dimension style only Restricts linking of dimension styles to the Leader dimension sub-style. Hence changes to text and leader settings are applied only to the Leader sub-style. If this option is not selected, you link to the base dimension style. Changes to the base dimension style are automatically applied to all sub-styles, unless that setting is overridden in the sub-style. This means that if you modify the text and leader settings in this dialog box, the change is applied across all sub-styles, unless the settings are explicitly overridden in the sub-style. |
Style Displays the name of the dimension style to which leader and text settings are linked. |
Text |
Style Sets the text style for use with all annotations. This setting is controlled by the drafting standard. Hence this setting can be changed only if the current drafting standard is a custom drafting standard or if the text and leader settings are linked to a dimension style. |
Base height Sets the text height to use as the base height for annotation text. If the Link to dimension style check box is selected, or if the current drafting standard is a custom drafting standard, you can specify non-standard text heights. If not, you can only select the standard text heights that are available on the list. By default, all symbols use the base text height for symbol text. Annotations such as annotation view labels, section line labels, detail view labels and balloons, use a text height that is one size larger than the base height. |
Color Sets the color for the text category selected for base text. If you click Select Color (at the bottom of the Color list), the Select Color dialog box appears. You can also enter a color name or number. |

Color Displays and sets the leader color for all annotations. If you click Select Color (at the bottom of the Color list), the Select Color dialog box appears. You can also enter a color name or number. If the Link to dimension style check box is selected, this setting affects the dimension line and extension line colors. |
