Use the Feature Groups menu to create and manage feature groups in the current project.
To display the menu, in the Explorer, right-click Feature Groups.
Feature editor — Select to display the Feature Editor tab.
Detect Features — Select to display the Interactive Feature Detection dialog.
Create Feature Group — Select to create a Feature Group in the Explorer.
Create Folder — Select to create a folder so you can organise entities in the Explorer. You can rename a folder in the normal way and drag and drop entities into it. See Explorer for more information.
Feature Group names — Select to specify the template used to name new feature groups.
This controls the naming convention used when creating multiple entities.
Enter the name of the template prefix you want to insert and click . This displays the prefixon the menu. New feature groups use this prefix.
Feature Group Names > Rename: None — When displayed, does not add a prefix to new feature group names.
Feature Group Names > Rename: prefix — When displayed, adds a prefix to new feature group names.
Folder Names — Select to specify the template used for all new folders.
These menu options control the naming convention used when creating multiple folders.
Enter the name of the template prefix you want to insert, and then click . This displays the prefixon the menu and all new folders use this prefix.
Folder Names > Rename: None — When displayed, PowerMill does not add a prefix to new folder names.
Folder Names > Rename: prefix— When displayed, PowerMill adds the prefix to new folder names.
Deactivate — Select to deactivate the currently active feature group.
Draw all — Select to display all feature groups on the screen .
Undraw all — Select to hide all feature groups on the screen .
Draw curves — Select to display the source curves that the features are generated from.
Draw wireframe — Select to display the wireframe representation of the features.
Import — Select to read-in features from an *.xml file. It displays the Import Features dialog.
Delete all — Select to delete all the feature groups.
