Creating components with Power Features

You can create a new component from selected solids with Power Features.

1. Activate the assembly you want to create the component in.
2. Select the main solid and Power Feature solid that you want to create components from.
3. Click Assembly tab > Component panel > With Power Features to display the Add to Assembly dialog.
4. Use the dialog to register the component, selecting the appropriate geometry for the main solid and the Power Feature solid.

   The selected solids become components and remain in their original positions. Component definitions are created for the components. The names of the components and their definitions are the same as the original solid.
