Anchor Instance Properties

Modify anchor instance properties to change the number of anchors, anchor standard and grade, coatings, and more.

To change instance properties, the element and change its properties on the Properties palette.

Name Description
Structural
Standard Specifies the specification standard of the anchor.
Grade Specifies the grade defining the tensile and yield strength of the anchor.
Diameter Specifies the diameter of the anchor shank.
Assembly Specifies the assembled parts of the anchor connection. For example: an anchor, nut, and a washers (NaW)
Length Specifies the length of the anchor shank.
Coating Specifies the material coating the anchor.
Location Specifies the anchor assembly location. For example, site or shop.
Hole Definition Opens the Hole Parameters dialog where you can configure the holes for each connected element of the selected anchor group.
Inverted Inverts the direction of the bolt.
Anchor Orientation Sets the direction of the anchor hooks.
Number on side 1 (Square sketched patterns only) The number of anchors distributed along the longer sketched side of the anchor pattern. This number populates each instance of the Number on side 2 parameter.
Number on side 2 (Square sketched patterns only) The number of anchors distributed along the shorter sketched side of the anchor pattern. This number populates each instance of the Number on side 1 parameter.
Length on side 1 (Square sketched patterns only) The length of the longest sketched side of the anchor pattern.
Length on side 2 (Square sketched patterns only) The length of the shorter sketched side of the anchor pattern.
Intermediate distance on side 1 (Square sketched patterns only) The distance between anchors along the longer sketched side of the anchor pattern.
Intermediate distance on side 2 (Square sketched patterns only) The distance between anchors along the shorter sketched side of the anchor pattern.
Edge distance on side 1 (Square sketched patterns only) The distance between the edge of the steel element and the first anchor along the longer sketched side of the anchor pattern.
Edge distance on side 2 (Square sketched patterns only) The distance between the edge of the steel element and the first anchor along the shorter sketched side of the anchor pattern.
Radius (Circular sketched patterns only) The radius of the sketched circular anchor pattern.
Number

(Circular sketched patterns only) The number of anchors distributed around the sketched circular anchor pattern.

Identity Data
Image

Associates an image with the selected element instance. Click the value field and then the browse button to open the Manage Images dialog. See Manage Images Dialog.

Comments User comments for the element.
Mark

A label created for the element. Possible use: shop mark. This value must be unique for each element in a project. Revit warns you if the number is already used but allows you to continue using it. You can see the warning using the Review Warnings tool. See Review Warning Messages.

Phasing
Phase Created Indicates in which phase the anchor component was created. See Project Phasing.
Phase Demolished Indicates in which phase the anchor component was demolished. See Project Phasing.
