Load a Structural Connection

Load detailed structural connections from database.

1. Click Steel tab Connection panel (Connection Settings). The Structural Connection Settings dialog opens.
2. On the Connections tab, specify the structural connections to load. Filter by Connection Group to narrow the list of available connections.
3. Click OK to load the specified connections.

Note: If you unload a connection type by removing it from the loaded connections list, all instances of that connection type will be automatically erased from the model. A warning message will display before you proceed with the action.

Once the connection types are loaded, you can change generic connections to detailed connections.

Note: If a generic connection is selected, the Type Selector will automatically filter the connection types to show only the ones recommended for that particular case. Filtering is done according to the number, section shape, and geometric position of the input elements, and also, according to the element set as the main member.
