Place a Structural Connection

Add a structural connection to a framing join of two or more columns, beams, and braces.

1. Click:
   • Steel tab Connection panel (Connection) or
   • Structure tab Connection panel (Connection).
2. In the drawing area, select the elements to be connected.
3. On the Properties palette, select a structural connection from the Type Selector drop-down.
4. Select the structural elements which comprise the join requiring a connection. Use a pick box or press and hold Ctrl to select multiple elements.
5. Press Enter or Spacebar to place the connection.

Alternatively you can select the structural elements first and then click Steel tab Connection panel (Connection). The generic connection will be placed if there were no previous connection instances, otherwise the last used connection is placed.
