To Add Corridor Regions

To add a corridor region using the Corridor ribbon tab

  1. In the drawing, click a corridor.
  2. Click Corridor tabModify Region panelAdd Regions Find.
  3. If the corridor has multiple baselines, select a baseline. In the drawing, hover over the corridor region to highlight the baselines.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Specify the region start and end stations.
    • Enter F to fill an entire gap area as a new region. After entering F, you are prompted to specify the region location.
  5. In the Create Corridor Region dialog box, specify a name for the new region, and specify an assembly. Click OK.
    Note: If the assembly has offsets defined, the offsets are displayed as children of the region.
  6. In the Target Mapping dialog box, set and edit targets for the region.
  7. Press Enter to end the command.

To add a corridor region using the Corridor Properties dialog box

  1. In the drawing, click the corridor, and then click Corridor Properties.
  2. In the Corridor Properties dialog box, click the Parameters tab. Do one of the following:
    • To add a new region after any existing regions, right-click the baseline for which you want to add a new region. Click Insert Region - After.
    • To insert a new region between two existing regions, right-click the first region. Click Insert Region - After.
  3. In the Create Corridor Region dialog box, select the assembly to assign to the region. Optionally, you may specify a custom region name; otherwise accept the default region name.

    The region is added to the corridor.

    Note: If the assembly has offsets defined, the offsets are displayed as children of the region.
  4. Edit the region.

To add a corridor region by selecting an assembly from Prospector

  1. In Toolspace, on the Prospector tab, expand the Corridors collection. Select the corridor. Right-click. Click Corridor Section Editor.
  2. On the Section Editor tabStation Selection panel, select a station that does not have a region associated with it.

    In the Select a Station list, indicates that a station is not associated with a region.

  3. In Toolspace, on the Prospector tab, expand the Assemblies collection. Select the assembly. Right-click. Click Preview in Section Editor.
  4. Click Section Editor tabPreview panelEdit Preview Targets.
  5. In the Target Mapping dialog box, set the surface, offset, and elevation targets in the corresponding Object Name fields.
  6. Click OK to close the Target Mapping dialog box.
  7. Click Section Editor tabPreview panelApply.
    Note: Cancel discards the preview assembly.
  8. Do one of the following:
    • Specify the region start and end stations.
    • Enter F to fill an entire gap area as a new region.
  9. In the Create Corridor Region dialog box, specify a name for the new region. The preview assembly is shown in the Assembly field, or you may select another region from the drawing. Click OK.

To add a corridor region by dragging an assembly from a Tool Palette or catalog into the Corridor Section Editor

  1. In Toolspace, on the Prospector tab, expand the Corridors collection. Select the corridor. Right-click. Click Corridor Section Editor.
  2. On the Section Editor tabStation Selection panel, select a station that does not have a region associated with it.

    In the Select a Station list, indicates that a station is not associated with a region.

  3. In a Tool Palette or catalog, select an assembly.

    A preview of the assembly is displayed in Section Editor. In Prospector, appears next to the preview assembly.

  4. Click Section Editor tabPreview panelEdit Preview Targets.
  5. In the Target Mapping dialog box, set the surface, offset, and elevation targets in the corresponding Object Name fields.
  6. Click OK to close the Target Mapping dialog box.
  7. Click Section Editor tabPreview panelApply.
    Note: Cancel discards the preview assembly.
  8. Do one of the following:
    • Specify the region start and end stations.
    • Enter F to fill an entire gap area as a new region.
  9. In the Create Corridor Region dialog box, specify a name for the new region. The preview assembly is shown in the Assembly field, or you may select another region from the drawing. Click OK.

To add a corridor region using the Section Editor ribbon

Specify a baseline and a start and end station, and then create a new corridor region.

  1. In Toolspace, on the Prospector tab, expand the Corridors collection. Select the corridor. Right-click. Click Corridor Section Editor.
  2. On the Section Editor tabStation Selection panel, select a station that does not have a region associated with it.

    In the Select a Station list, indicates that a station is not associated with a region.

  3. Click Section Editor tabCorridor Edit Tools panelAdd a Region.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Specify the region start and end stations.
    • Enter F to fill an entire gap area as a new region.
  5. In the Create Corridor Region dialog box, specify a name and an assembly for the new region. Click OK.
  6. In the Target Mapping dialog box, set the surface, offset, and elevation targets in the corresponding Object Name fields.
  7. Click OK to close the Target Mapping dialog box.
