- Do one of the following:
Assembly
- On the ribbon, click
Assemble tab
Component panel
Place.
- In the Open dialog box, select IDF Board File as the Files of type, and then select the file to import.
- Select the file to import and click Open.
Part
- Click File Open.
- In the Open dialog box, change the file type to IDF Board File (.brd,.emn,.bdf,.idb), and then select the file to open.
- Select the file to import and click Open.
- In the Import IDF Options dialog box, click

- In the Filter Settings dialog box, you can set a filter to only include specified values in the exported file. When you import the file, all content not meeting the filter criteria are not imported.
- Components: Each component in IDF files has a height value. Specify the height range of the components to include.
- Nonplated Holes: Each nonplated hole has a diameter value. Specify the diameter size range of the nonplated holes to include.
- Plated Holes: Each plated hole has a diameter value. Specify the diameter size range of the plated holes to include.
- Outlines: To include an outline type in the output, select the checkbox next to the outline type.
- Click OK to apply changes and return to the Import IDF Settings dialog box.
