A reference point can help build, orient, align, and drive geometry in a conceptual design.
Place a reference point to specify a location in the XYZ work space of the conceptual design environment. Reference points and their reference planes are powerful tools to design and plot lines, splines, and forms.
There are 3 types of reference points:
- Free: Points placed on a reference plane and independent of geometry.
- Hosted: Points placed along lines and geometry edges. When the host moves, the reference point will move. The reference point will also move along a host line.
- Driving: Points placed along lines and geometry edges. When the reference point moves, the line or geometry will move or distort to meet the points position.
