When you link topography to the Revit model, the topography is placed in the Revit model using automatic positioning.
That is, the World Coordinate System (WCS) origin of the linked topography is aligned to the Revit model using real-world coordinates specified for the survey point or the project base point. See Specify Coordinates Before Linking Site Data.
If the Revit model uses different coordinates from the topography, a dialog asks whether you want to do the following:
You can then check to confirm the coordinates of the project base point and the survey point. You can also click Manage tabProject Location panel (Location) to see the newly assigned latitude and longitude for the model.
You must then move the topography to the desired location, and pin it in place.
