About Location Line Visibility

The location line is a useful reference tool when modifying framing elements in a model. You can specify the location line to display in a view at all times.

In the Visibility/Graphics dialog, expand the Structural Framing model category to select and edit graphic display overrides for Location Lines. When visible location lines are useful as visual references for identifying points of complex framing joins or visualizing offsets of elements in a model.

You can also use location lines as references for annotation.

Tip: Create a specific view template for temporary views to quickly display and hide location lines while modeling.
