The Quick Connection tool provides a parametric and rule-based approach to the creation of connections in an Advance Steel model, by being able to map connections to geometric characteristics of the structural elements that join in a given node.
After setting the rules, by using a single command, Advance Steel will analyze and place connections between all relevant elements, using the preset rules. Multiple rules can be set and used based on project requirements and they can also be saved and shared.
The quick connections are suited to define fast common connections throughout the model, for the structural framing elements. Certain special connections or miscellaneous steel will still need to be done through direct modelling, using the predefined available connections or by manual modelling.
