Search Objects

Learn how you can search for objects in the 3D model and save your filters for later use,

When working on a structure, it may be necessary to locate various objects based on certain properties.

Examples:

• All glass objects.
• All beams of a certain section type.
• All elements in a certain lot of phase.
• All elements with the same model role.

The search filter offers various options for creating selection sets.

Additionally, you can save search criteria for later use. Saved search criteria are stored in the Queries section of the Project Explorer.

You can use object properties or object types to include objects in a highlighted selection set.

The selection criteria can be applied on a defined selection, on a set of highlighted objects or on the whole model. All elements that fulfil the criteria are highlighted. The objects remain highlighted when you use other tools.

Note: The highlighted objects can be selected using Select all marked objects tool.
