The New Revit Home: Tech Preview

Use the New Revit Home toggle button to try the new home page with more features.

Dark Theme for Schedules and Panel Schedules

You can now enable Dark Theme for Schedules, Panel Schedules and Panel Schedule Template edit mode to keep consistent with the other views.

Elevation Base Option Enhancement

Top Plane was added as an elevation base option when shape editing.

Sorting Parameters Alphanumerically

You can sort the project parameters alphanumerically both from the Property Palette and Type properties dialog.

Automatic Color Conversion for All Views in Dark Theme

When switching theme from Light to Dark, the color conversion is automatically enabled for all views to improve the existing readability in dark mode and reduce the eye strain.

Add Area Boundary Line in Model Group Editor

The Add Area Boundary Line tool was enabled in the model group editor to modify the area boundary.

Remember Type Properties Divider Setting

The column width set in the Type Properties dialog will be preserved per machine.

Create Similar Uses Correct Draw Tool

When you click Create Similar, the correct tool is launched from the draw gallery.

Project Browser Navigation Enhancements

Use Ctrl+Scroll to zoom the contents of the Project Browser. Following a search, use the arrow keys to move up/down in the search results.

Toposolids

Community idea: Create topographic elements as solid geometry.

Revit Dark Theme

Community idea: Revit supports the dark theme for first level user interface, including the Properties Palette, Project Browser, Option Bar, View Control Bar, and status bar. You can also set the drawing area (canvas) theme to Dark or Light both from the ribbon and the Options dialog.

Align Surface Patterns

Community idea: Use the Align tool to align surface patterns on shape-edited elements. Patterns can be aligned across the entire surface, or triangulated faces can be individually aligned.

Cut Geometry Enhancements

Community idea: Additional categories have been enabled to allow cutting in the project environment.

Search in Project Browser

Community idea: A search function is now available at the top of the Project Browser.

Shape Editing

Slab shape editing tools previously available only in Revit are now available in Revit LT.

Link/Import PDF Files

Link or import a 2D PDF file into a 2D view for reference without increasing the size of the model or affecting performance. Then remove the file when it's no longer needed.

Schedule Revision Clouds

Community idea: Quickly manage your revision cloud parameter information using revision cloud schedules.

Link Coordination Models

Community idea: Visually cross-check between models of various disciplines and phases of a project. In 3D views, visually compare collaboration models created in Revit LT or other modeling tools for coordination purposes.

Snap Points for Coordination Models

Community idea: Use snap points to easily model in context, to measure between two references based on the coordination model points, or to better position the coordination model.

Twenty one dialogs have been enhanced so they can be resized as you work with them.
