To run the inspection sequence on a CNC machine

To run the inspection sequence on a CNC machine:

  1. To run only part of the sequence, select the range of items to be inspected.
  2. To run the inspection sequence continuously, select the Loop program check box.

This option is not available when a range of items is selected.

  3. In the Measure name list, select the Measure in which you want to save the results. The Active Measure list in the Measure tab > Current panel is updated.

The play buttons are disabled when you select <simulated measure> or <no measure> because these options cannot be used to save measurements.

  4. Use the play buttons to run the inspection: Click:

to step through the inspection sequence (or range) one item at a time.

to run the entire inspection sequence (or range).

to step through the inspection sequence (or range) one move at a time.

    to pause the inspection.

    to stop the inspection immediately.

to rewind to the start of the inspection sequence.

to step back through the inspection sequence one item at a time.

As PowerInspect runs the inspection sequence, the movements of the measuring device are shown in the CAD view, and the program status and current feature are displayed in the Progress area at the top of the Run tab.

  5. Click the Report tab to view the results, or use the labels and inspection point display options to display the results in the CAD view.
