About Room Groups in Areabook

Arrange groups of rooms for organizing and evaluating multiple rooms.

You can assign individual rooms to several room groups. Then you perform evaluations by different criteria. For example, a room can both belong to room group Tenant: Company A and to room group Usage: Conference rooms.

Room groups can be combined as a larger room group. Room groups can consist of rooms and room groups from different levels of the current project. A typical use case is a duplex apartment building over different levels.

Room groups are labeled with a room group stamp in the project.

Important: A room group is not the same as a Revit group. If rooms in the project are grouped with the Revit (Create Group) command, area calculation cannot be performed.
