Add Room Groups in Areabook

Organize rooms into a room group.

  1. Click Quantification tab Areabook Extension panel Room Group-drop-down (Add Room Group) to open the Add Room Group dialog.
  2. Enter a unique Group Number and Group name.
  3. Under Add Rooms and Groups, click (Select Elements).
  4. In the drawing area, select rooms and room groups for the new room group.
  5. Click Finish in the Option Bar. Notice the list in the Subordinate Rooms/Groups section of the dialog.
  6. (Optional) Select from the Use View drop down menu to add rooms and room groups from other views of the project. Click Select to open the new view. Repeat steps 3 through 5 until all rooms and room groups are selected.
  7. Click OK to create the room group and close the dialog.
  8. Click in the drawing area to place the room group tag. Leader lines generate to rooms and room groups that belong to the new room group.
