About Working With Data Shortcut Projects in Forma Data Management

Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D, which is available when you subscribe to Forma Design Collaboration, lets you perform all data shortcut creation and management tasks in data shortcut projects that are stored in Forma Data Management.

If you don't have Forma Design Collaboration and Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D, you can perform some data shortcut-related tasks with an Forma Data Management subscription. For example, you can open and work in drawings that contain data shortcut references, but you cannot synchronise and validate data shortcuts without an Forma Design Collaboration subscription.

However, to create and manage data shortcuts and references in an Forma Data Management project, you'll need access to Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D, which is available when you subscribe to Forma Design Collaboration.

The following table lists which tasks you can perform with Forma Data Management, and which ones require Forma Design Collaboration and Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D.
