How Do I Access Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D?

To enable access to Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D

  1. Go to accounts.autodesk.com and sign in to your Autodesk account.
  2. In the left pane, click on User Management.
  3. In the right pane, select a user and click on Edit Access.
  4. In the Edit Access dialog box, under Products & Services, select the Assign tick box for Forma Design Collaboration.
  5. Click next to Forma Design Collaboration to show the available services, and select the Assign tick box for Collaboration for Civil 3D.
  6. Click Save.

To set up to use Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D

To get started using Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D, you'll need to perform some setup tasks.

  1. Install Autodesk Civil 3D.
  2. Install Desktop Connector and set up the connected drive for Forma Data Management.
  3. Start Autodesk Civil 3D and click the Forma Data Management page of the Start tab.
  4. Use the account and project switcher to select the Forma Data Management project you want to use.
  5. You can now open documents from Forma Data Management, save documents to Forma Data Management and upload documents to Forma Data Management using your connected drive.
Note: Before you can use Forma Data Management with Civil 3D, Autodesk Desktop Connector must be running. When Desktop Connector is running, a small icon will appear in your Windows system tray: . When Desktop Connector is installed, it will be added to your Windows startup programs list. That means it should start automatically every time you start Windows. If you need to start Desktop Connector manually, you can select Autodesk Autodesk Desktop Connector on the Windows Start menu.
