User Permissions

In InfoWorks ICM Ultimate or ICMLive Configuration Manager, database owners can set user access permissions designed to prevent specific users from performing certain actions in ICMLive Operator Client. See the InfoWorks ICM help for further details.

With access permissions activated in InfoWorks ICM or ICMLive Configuration Manager the following types of ICMLive Operator Client user are available:

Live Owner

A Live Owner has full edit and delete powers over Live Groups and items within Live Groups (such as manifests and manifest deployments).

Live Control Room Manager

Users who are assigned this role can:

  • Edit manifests and manifests deployments in InfoWorks ICM Ultimate or ICMLive Configuration Manager and the Operator Client.
  • Change the manifest mode of operation in InfoWorks ICM Ultimate or ICMLive Configuration Manager and the Operator Client. In the Operator Client, this is achieved by selecting a different option in the Manifest toolbar:

  • Modify the trigger for alert full model runs. In the Operator Client, this is achieved by clicking on the Modify alert trigger button on the Manifest toolbar:

  • Generate manual runs in the Operator Client (New run and the New run with current parameters options of the Run Window):
  • Generating new runs

  • Deploy / undeploy manifest deployments in InfoWorks ICM Ultimate or ICMLive Configuration Manager.
  • Change action statuses in InfoWorks ICM Ultimate or ICMLive Configuration Manager and the Operator Client. In the Operation Client, this is done by selecting a different Status in the Actions Window:

Live User

A Live User can edit Live Group items (such as manifests and manifest deployments), but cannot create or delete Live Group items. Note that specific actions relating to manifests or manifest deployments, such as the actions described in bullet points 2 to 6 in the Live Control Room Manager section above are not allowed.

Live Viewer

A Live Viewer can view (not edit) Live group objects and has read-only access to Live Group items.

TSD Owner

A TSD Owner has full edit and delete powers over scalar and spatial time series data objects.

TSD Editor

A TSD Editor can edit scalar and spatial TSD objects but cannot add or delete data streams.

TSD User

A TSD User can create user edits (but these cannot be persisted) for scalar and spatial TSD objects.

TSD Viewer

A TSD Viewer can view but not edit scalar and spatial TSD objects.
